Who was Jesus?

Jesus was the Son of God and God Himself in human form. He came down from Heaven to earth to redeem humanity from sin. John 1:1–14 says: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... The Word became flesh and dwelt among us.” Colossians 1:15–20 declares, “He is the image of the invisible God... All things were created through Him and for Him.” Jesus was fully human and fully God — and that truth makes Him uniquely qualified to be our Savior.

Why was Jesus crucified?

Jesus gave Himself as a sacrifice for the sins of mankind. The wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23), and He took that penalty on our behalf. Isaiah 53:5–6 prophesied, “He was pierced for our transgressions... The punishment that brought us peace was on Him.” 2 Corinthians 5:21 says, “God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we might become the righteousness of God.” Jesus’ death on the cross wasn’t just a historical event — it is the very center of our salvation.

Did Jesus really rise from the dead?

Yes, the Bible clearly teaches that Jesus rose physically from the dead three days after His crucifixion. Matthew 28:5–6 — “Do not be afraid... He is not here; He has risen, just as He said.” 1 Corinthians 15:3–6 records Paul saying, “He was raised on the third day... and He appeared to more than 500 brothers at the same time.” The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of the Christian faith. If He had not risen, our faith would be in vain (1 Corinthians 15:17). His resurrection proves He truly is the Son of God and that He conquered death.
